I have always loved insects and spiders.  Ever since I was little, I  could be found chasing fireflies, or playing with slugs in the back yard.

In 2008 my passion for nature grew, and I started to learn macro photography.  I then thought to myself that I should have my own little critter to photograph, and that is when I bought my first tarantula.  His name was Sid  and he was an Avicularia avicularia (Pink Toed Tarantula). Sadly, He passed away in December of 2009, but not long afterward I  was given another Pink toe- The one you see as the background of this site.  His name is SId II and he is still alive and well.

Now I have a growing collection of spiders that has taken over my desktop, and soon will occupy an entire room.  I love my little ones, and hope to share this wonderful hobby with the world!

As someone who loves nature and science, I am involved with educating others about the hobby of tarantula keeping, as well as the importance of valuing nature.  Come share in the companionship of a tarantula today, and you will surely be rewarded for years to come!
